Role Title : Senior Designer
Function : Operations
Reports To : Assistant Manager
Location : Chennai

Responsible for production and quality checks of high-quality projects on time
To be effective in this role, you must be strong technically, with high organizational skills
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes (What the Person needs to accomplish in the role ?)
1. Production
- Use custom software tools to design PV ground mounted and roof top systems
- Perform accurate system sizing calculations
- Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD)/ PVsyst software
- Develop optimal designs with SLD, conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans.
- Execute designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements
- Work across functionally with management teams to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met
- Troubleshoot design and construction issues.
- Conducting Technical Trainings
2. Delivery Management
- Monitors project performance, scope, quality, risks and schedule for all assigned projects
- Guides and mentors associate design engineers in CAD / Solar
- Validates, updates and maintains all project documents
3. Quality management
- Should be able to do quality check.
- Should be able to create processes i.e. use of checklist to control consistent quality and process adherence.
- Should be able to maintain quality and suggest actions for quality improvement
Requirements
- Ability to design PV systems at 11/22/33/66 kV power levels
- Has knowledge in Aurora and AutoCAD
- Has knowledge in electrical design concepts
- Exposure to Solar Design (US region) is must
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel
- Managing Email communication

Minimum Qualifications
- B. Tech./Diploma – Electrical/ Civil/ Mechanical
Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in CAD and Engineering services industry
- 0.5 – 1 year direct work experience in team lead capacity will be an added advantage.

Responsible for leading a team of Associate Designers and Senior Designers to deliver high quality projects on time
To be effective in this role, you must be strong technically, with high organizational skills, and persuasive communication skills
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes (What the Person needs to accomplish in the role ?)
1. Team Management
- Performance monitoring and optimum utilization of resources
- Guides and mentors, the team as SME in CAD / Solar
- Conducting Technical Trainings
- Maintaining team moral
- Be hands-on and lead the team showing technical expertise on CAD / Solar projects
2. Delivery Management
- Monitors and manages project performance, scope, quality, risks and schedule for all assigned projects

- Prepares progress reports on a daily, weekly or as per need basis

- To oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices & processes and support business needs to ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.
- Lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes (What the Person needs to accomplish in the role ?)
1. Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
2. Function – Specific Responsibilities
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

3. People Management Responsibilities
